Health & Safety

Can a Player Play if They Are Pregnant?
Yes, players can continue to play while pregnant, but it’s important to prioritise safety and well-being. We recommend discussing this with a healthcare professional to ensure it’s safe for you to participate.
If you decide to play while pregnant, just give your umpire, captain, and coordinator a heads-up so they can cheer you on and offer any extra support you might need. It’s totally your call, but heads-up – some players might get a bit nervous playing against a pregnant teammate because they don’t want to accidentally cause harm. So, it’s a good idea to have an end date in mind, helping everyone feel relaxed and confident on court. After all, we want the game to be fun and safe for all!
I’m worried about a previous injury, can i still play?
Yes, players with previous injuries are welcome to play, but it’s important to listen to your body and take care of yourself. If you have any concerns, we recommend checking with a healthcare professional before hitting the court.
Feel free to wear any supportive gear like braces or tape to keep things stable. And remember, our umpires are always happy to help if you need to take things a little easier or need advice during the game. Your safety comes first!
If I get injured during a BLOOM Netball game, do I need to report it?
Yes! If you have to leave the court because of an injury, an umpire will take your details and ask some quick questions about what happened. This helps us officially log the incident and make sure a full report is completed. It’s all about keeping everyone safe and making sure we learn from what happened.
Is BLOOM Netball Insured?
Yes! BLOOM Netball holds full public liability insurance, so you can enjoy your games with peace of mind.
